Self - Floating (ESS)
Electronic pontoon inclinometer is mainly applied to survey the well which has small inclination less than 40 degree. The basic principle of work that inclinometer is Pumped down to the survey point through low pump pressure. After finishing surveying, pumps are switched off, then instrument floats up to surface. The electronic magnetic self-floating tools are widely used to save rig time in vertical wells of specific gravity mud ≤ 2.0 g/cm3 and inclination ≤ 40° and are a substitution for conventional single shot survey tools.
